“Answering the Call:  Lawrence’s WWI Soldiers and Nurses,” opens April 28 at the Watkins Museum of History in Lawrence.  The opening is from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bring the family to the opening celebration of our upcoming exhibit, “Answering the Call: Lawrence’s WWI Soldiers and Nurses.” See incredible artifacts and photographs telling the story of local involvement in this global conflict. Additionally, we’ll have members of the National World War I Museum’s Living History Volunteer Corps on hand giving demonstrations of ordinary life during the period. Our April Final Friday will be an awesome educational experience for kids and adults.  (From the Lawrence Journal-World.)
