It’s going to be a quiet weekend for WWI on C-SPAN3–just one program, repeated once.

–Peace Efforts Before U.S. Entered WWI.  Jay Sexton and Jennifer Keene comment on audio clips from the podcast, “Enter the Peace Broker.”  First airing is at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 3rd; it repeats that evening at 9:30 p.m.  Times are Central, and as usual, we’re not responsible for schedule changes.

This program opened the National World War I Museum and Memorial’s conference, “1917:  America Joins the Fight.”

Blair Tarr is the Museum Curator of the Kansas State Historical Society. He oversees the three-dimensional collections of the Society, but has special interests in the Civil War, Wichita-made Valentine diners, and Leavenworth's Abernathy Furniture. In the last few years he has also done a lot of cramming on The Great War. He is a past president of the Kansas Museums Association and the Civil War Round Tables of both Kansas City and Eastern Kansas. He is currently a board member of the Heritage League of Greater Kansas City.
