Advancements of Aviation Technology.

Aviation technology developed quickly at the beginning of the 20th century. Learn about how technology changed from the 1903 Wright Flyer, which had a maximum speed of 30 mph, to the 1918 Nieuport-Delage, which could fly 148 mph. See a replica of the Nieuport-Delage at the museum.

The University of Kansas Center for Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies (CREES) has been a national leader for the study of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe since 1959. The center is an active member of the KU WWI Centennial Commemoration coordinated by the European Studies Program.
