To commemorate the 100th anniversary of America’s entry into WWI, Fort Scott Community College will be presenting a preview screening of the upcoming AMERICAN EXPERIENCE film “The Great War” along with a panel discussion. The topic will be “The War for Democracy: America’s New Foreign Policy”.

Members of the panel will be a retired Army Chaplain, an immigrant to America from England whose grandfather fought in WWI, and a FSCC faculty member. This event will be held on April 10th from 2-4pm in the Ellis Fine Arts Center, FSCC, Fort Scott. The general public is welcome to attend.

The film premieres Monday, April 10 from 8-10 p.m. on local PBS stations and shows for three consecutive nights.

The Kansas WWI Centennial Committee is dedicated to promoting educational activities related to the First World War throughout the centennial commemoration period.
