PBS will again air the American Experience documentary, The Great War, beginning on June 19th.  The three part series will then air in successive weeks on June 26th and July 3rd.  For stations serving Kansas, the series will be broadcast from 8:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. Central, with the exception of KOOD, which will air it from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Readers outside of Kansas should check their local PBS stations’ schedules.

Blair Tarr is the Museum Curator of the Kansas State Historical Society. He oversees the three-dimensional collections of the Society, but has special interests in the Civil War, Wichita-made Valentine diners, and Leavenworth's Abernathy Furniture. In the last few years he has also done a lot of cramming on The Great War. He is a past president of the Kansas Museums Association and the Civil War Round Tables of both Kansas City and Eastern Kansas. He is currently a board member of the Heritage League of Greater Kansas City.
